Dustin Stiver, PhD has a diverse work experience. Dustin currently holds the position of Director of Community & Design Strategy at Mural, a role they started in August 2022. Prior to this, Dustin worked at LUMA Institute from September 2019 to July 2022, where they held various roles including Director of Community & Communications and Lead Instructor. In these roles, they taught human-centered design principles to clients from Fortune 100 companies, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. Before LUMA Institute, Dustin was an Experience Designer at OpenIDEO, where they worked on the City of Tomorrow Challenge in Pittsburgh from June to September 2018. Dustin also served as a Senior Program Officer at The Sprout Fund for over 11 years, starting in February 2007 and ending in September 2018. In this role, Dustin supported innovative ideas that improved the Pittsburgh community. Additionally, they briefly worked as an Executive Assistant at Union Project in 2005. Overall, Dustin Stiver's work experience showcases their expertise in human-centered design, community engagement, and program management.

Dustin Stiver, PhD, completed their education at Eastern University College of Business and Leadership, where they obtained their PhD degree in 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 2006, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, also from the University of Pittsburgh, in 2004. Additionally, Dustin has obtained several certifications in Human-Centered Design, including becoming an Instructor, Facilitator, and Practitioner of Human-Centered Design through the LUMA Institute in 2019, 2018, and 2018 respectively.
