Katie Hendricksen

Katie Hendricksen has a diverse work experience in various software engineering roles. Katie started their career at Perkins & Marie Callender's, LLC as a waitress from May 2017 to June 2018. Katie then worked as a software engineering intern at OneOme from June 2019 to August 2019, where they utilized various programming languages and tools to analyze the suitability of medications for patients.

Following their internship, Katie joined Target as a software engineer in January 2021. Katie played a significant role in implementing Smart WAN Selection (SWANS 2.0), automating the process for WAN interface changeover when LTE signals were insufficient. Additionally, they led initiatives to secure funding for advanced licenses to support SWANS 2.0. During their time at Target, Katie also served as a software engineering intern for the Kiosk team, working on monitoring systems at Target's facilities and organizing a monthly STEM conference for high school students.

Most recently, Katie worked at MURAL as a software engineer, starting in March 2022. Katie contributed to building and improving integrations with Gmail, Calendar, Docs, and Slides, benefiting a user base of over 5,000 people. Katie successfully reduced technical debt by implementing a common authentication flow, addressing security vulnerabilities, enhancing accessibility, and eliminating redundant code. Additionally, they collaborated with cross-functional teams to deliver a storage solution for third-party images in Zoom.
