Executive Business Partner, Strategy & Operations at MURAL

Marissa Kerum has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Marissa is currently working at Mural as an Executive Business Partner in the Strategy & Operations department. Previously, they worked at Lyft as an Executive Business Partner in the People Team, where they served as a trusted advisor to the People Leadership Team. Marissa was impacted by the 2023 RIF during their time at Lyft.

Prior to their role at Lyft, Marissa worked at Stripe as an Administrative Business Partner in both the Engineering and Sales & Product departments. In these roles, they supported high-growth, business critical teams by handling administrative and operational tasks, coordinating leadership meetings and events, and tracking project milestones and goals. Marissa also collaborated with multiple teams across Stripe on strategic projects and events, and planned company-wide conferences and team-building events. Marissa was involved in the hiring process and onboarding of new teammates and was responsible for enhancing team culture through various initiatives.

Before Stripe, Marissa worked at Practice Fusion as a Recruiting Coordinator. Practice Fusion is a healthcare platform that connects doctors, patients, and data. In this role, Marissa played a pivotal role in transforming US healthcare by addressing the complex needs of healthcare providers through cloud-based charting, scheduling, e-prescribing, and other features.

Marissa also worked at UP Global as a Special Events Coordinator on a contract basis. UP Global is an organization dedicated to empowering the entrepreneurial community and building networks that drive collaboration and strengthen entrepreneurs worldwide. In this role, Marissa helped develop and offer high-impact programs and initiatives.

Additionally, Marissa worked at Flavor Group, LLC as an Events Coordinator on a contract basis.

Throughout their career, Marissa has demonstrated strong organizational and coordination skills, as well as an ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Marissa Kerum pursued their education in Sociology, earning a Bachelor's degree from the University of San Francisco from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, in 2012, they attended Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna for a brief period to further their studies in Sociology.
