Nathan Platt

Nathan Platt has a diverse range of work experience. Nathan is currently working as a Staff Software Engineer at MURAL, where they led and developed a real-time upgrade project resulting in a significant decrease in client disconnects. Nathan also created rate-limit monitoring and mitigation infrastructure and conducted user-facing experiments to handle high population sessions.

Prior to their current role, Nathan worked at Susquehanna International Group as a Software Developer. There, they planned, architected, and developed ASP.NET Core Services and APIs for vending market data. Nathan also utilized TDD and intensive benchmarking to ensure reliability and performance standards were met.

Before that, Nathan was a Software Developer (Project Lead) at Financial Software Systems, where they developed various .NET applications and services for clients in the wealth management and banking sectors. Nathan supported a large codebase of managed and native code.

Nathan's earlier experiences include working as a Quality Analyst at Sikorsky Aircraft, where they created and maintained a database to track the cost of quality. Nathan implemented VBA modules to improve data analysis efficiency and reduced process time significantly.

Nathan also served as the Global Operations and Facilities Coordinator at Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, maintaining and coordinating operations at Pfizer Animal Health in Exton, Pennsylvania. Nathan contributed to energy management and budget-related projects that led to receiving Pfizer's Green Building award.

During their time at Penn State University, Nathan worked as a Researcher and Research Assistant, conducting research in number theory and Fourier analysis. Nathan presented their findings and communicated mathematical concepts to other team members.

Nathan began their research journey as a Research Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania.
