Amir Abedini

Amir Abedini is a Senior Business Development Engineer at Murata since July 2020, recognized as the winner of the 2024 President Award for global business expansion. In this role, Amir has significantly enhanced market share for Murata's magnetic products, solidifying the company's position as a leader in electronic components manufacturing. Prior experience includes positions as an EMC Design Engineer at Cisco, where Amir worked on product design and testing for the Catalyst 9000 family, and as an Electrical Engineer at Blazetech Corp., contributing to the development of the MicrogridXpert project. Amir also served as President of the Graduate Student Government and as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, alongside a role as a Visiting Scholar at Clark University, where Amir co-created the Clark Nanogrid. Educational achievements include a PhD Candidate and a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, along with a Bachelor's degree from Shahrood University of Technology.
