Simon Mitchell

Simon Mitchell is a Director at Murgitroyd, leading the Patents division and overseeing the London Central and Cambridge offices since October 2021. Previously, Simon served as a Partner at UDL from October 2015 to October 2021, where UDL gained recognition as a top UK firm of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys. Prior to that, Simon worked as a Senior Patent Attorney at Schlich Ltd and held foundational roles as a Postdoctoral Fellow at both the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology and Weill Cornell Medical College, focusing on the molecular biophysics of synaptic transmission and integration. Simon began academic pursuits with a Ph.D. in Biophysics and Pharmacology from University College London, complemented by a BSc (Hons) in Neuroscience from the University of Aberdeen and a PGCert in Intellectual Property from Bournemouth University. Additional educational endeavors include courses from EdX, Davidson College, IBM, MITx, and Robert Gordon's College.
