Michelle Halstead, CGeog, is a chartered geographer with 20 years of experience in the geospatial domain, specializing in large-scale projects for both public and private sectors. Currently a Senior Project Manager, Michelle leads a team of GIS consultants while handling technical and project management tasks, including costing, tendering, and client engagement. With expertise in the ESRI suite and a strong background in aerial and topo surveying, Michelle has also served as a mentor in the Women+ in Geospatial program and has actively promoted the GIS industry through presentations and speaking engagements. Previously, Michelle held positions such as Principal GIS Consultant and Gazetteer/GIS Officer, significantly enhancing operational standards and receiving multiple awards in the field. Michelle earned a BSc (Hons) in IT Systems Management from the University of Central Lancashire.
