Simon Payne

Simon Payne is the Vice President of Global Business Development at Murphy Oil Corporation, leading business development activities and negotiations for both onshore and offshore operations across various regions, including the USA, Canada, Gulf of Mexico, Brazil, Malaysia, and Brunei. Simon has successfully completed significant transactions, such as the C$538 million sale of Tupper and Tupper West gas processing plants to Enbridge and the C$937 million sale of Syncrude to Suncor. With prior experience at Murphy Oil Malaysia and BHP Billiton, including roles focused on exploration and new ventures in multiple regions, Simon holds a Master of Science in Petroleum Geoscience and has completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.
