2024 marks the 33rd anniversary of Mushroom Wisdom, Inc. (MWI) bringing the finest research-supported mushroom products to Consumers worldwide.  While mushrooms have been used traditionally for thousands of years, MWI actually began 33 years ago as Maitake Products, Inc. with the goal of introducing the relatively unknown Maitake mushroom research to the natural health industry by developing Grifron Maitake - then later, Maitake D-Fraction.  

By 2010 the company acknowledged its role as a leader in the mushroom category by changing its name to Mushroom Wisdom, Inc. to better reflect its diversity of products.  By embracing the word "wisdom" as part of its new company name, MWI honors the thousands of years of traditional use of these mushrooms, while also emphasizing its industry leading commitment to furthering our knowledge and understanding with scientific research.
