Scott Morrison has worked in the sustainability and environmental sector for nearly two decades. In 2003, they began their career as an Environmental Project Manager at Out on a Limb, where they provided solution consulting and project management services in the area of environmental stewardship. Scott then moved on to Zero Waste Canada in 2013, taking the role of Interm Executive Director & Advisor. That same year, they also began working at SJMC as a Management Consultant. In 2017, they became the Director Of Sustainability at Mainstem Malt. In 2018, they joined DreamZero as President and Sales Manager and, in 2022, they will become a Development Partner at Muuse.
Scott Morrison has a diverse educational background in sustainability, circular economy, and project management. Scott completed a Certificate of Design and Certificate of Implementation from the Permaculture Research Institute in 2001 and 2002, respectively. In 2007, they completed an Irrigation Auditor Course from the Irrigation Association of America. In 2009, they obtained a GEO Sustainability Advisor Certification from the Golf Environment Organization. In 2012 and 2013, they received an Award of Achievement in Sustainability Management from The University of British Columbia. In 2015, they completed a Combined Online Course with EDX in Introduction to Project Management from the University of Adelaide. In 2016, they completed a Designing Cradle to Cradle Certified Products for Circular Economy course from the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, a STEEL101x Certificate from TenarisUniversityX, and a Communicating Strategically course from Purdue neXt. In 2017, they obtained a Zero Waste Business Associate (ZWBA) Certificate from Green Business Certification Inc, a Six Sigma Yellow Belt from Yellow House, and a Circular Economy course from Delft University of Technology. Additionally, they have obtained a GEOSA (GEO Sustainability Advisor) - 1st in North America certification from the Golf Environment Organization in 2010, a WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System) Training Course certification from CANADA SAFETY COUNCIL in 2005, a GBCI Zero Waste Business Associate (ZWBA) Certificate, an edX Honor Code Certificate for Communicating Strategically, and an edX Honor Code Certificate for Introduction to Steel.
