Scott Perlman has worked in the entertainment industry for over a decade. Scott began their career in 2006 as the writer and co-creator of Kate & Edith. In 2008, they served as the producer for Make Em Forget. From 2010 to 2011, they were the producer, director, and editor for Going to Pot and Reverb Junkies. In 2015, they wrote, produced, and directed the independent film Andover, which won Best Picture and the Audience Award at the Orlando Film Festival. Scott also worked as a production manager for Anna Biller Productions LLC on the feature film The Love Witch, which won Best Film at the American Independent Film Awards. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a writer for ZDF, a producer and editor for CrazyHot, and a writer and director for Story Merchant, adapting the memoir "Shaming My Red Lips" into a screenplay. Additionally, from 2015 to 2019, they were a video producer for MVP Interactive, editing and producing promotional videos for clients including NFL, NBA, and MLB teams.

Scott Perlman received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Creative Writing from the University of Iowa between 1992 and 1995. Scott then attended The Second City Conservatory between 1998 and 2000 to study Improvisational Comedy.
