Thomas Hézard

Thomas Hézard has extensive work experience in the field of research, innovation, and audio signal processing. Thomas worked at MWM from 2015 to present as the Head of the Research Department, where they managed research teams, defined and implemented processes and workflows, and collaborated with other departments. Prior to that, they were the Head of the Audio R&D team at MWM. Thomas also worked as a Research Engineer in Digital Audio Signal Processing at MWM.

Before joining MWM, Thomas Hézard worked as a part-time teacher at Ecole nationale supérieure de l'Electronique et de ses Applications, where they taught introductory lessons and projects on audio programming for mobile applications.

Thomas Hézard also has experience at IRCAM, where they worked as a PhD Student conducting research on voice production. Thomas also interned at IRCAM, working on the study of passivity and stability for the simulation of acoustic tubes with concave geometry, and as an Engineering Master's Degree Intern, conducting R&D for virtual instrument-making tools.

In addition, Thomas Hézard worked as a teaching assistant at UPMC - Sorbonne Universities, where they organized and supervised practical works, tutorial classes, and projects in Electronics. Thomas also provided academic support in subjects such as Physics, Mathematics, and Music theory and Piano initiation for children as an Independent academic support teacher.

Earlier in their career, Thomas Hézard had an engineering internship at Ciant, where they worked on C++ programming of Max/MSP 5.0 plug-ins for real-time multimedia installations. Thomas also worked as a Live Sound Engineer and Live Sound Engineer assistant at Scenic Production, where they were responsible for sound engineering and technical team management for various events.

- From 2023 to 2024, Thomas Hézard attended Ecole Polytechnique Executive Education and completed a Data Science Starter Program, earning a certificate in Mathematics and Computer Science.

- From 2010 to 2013, Thomas Hézard pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Pierre and Marie Curie University, specializing in Signal, Image, Speech, and Telecoms.

- In 2009 and 2010, Thomas Hézard studied at Pierre and Marie Curie University and obtained a Master's degree (M2R) in Acoustics and Signal Processing Applied to Sound and Music (ATIAM).

- From 2006 to 2009, Thomas Hézard attended Ecole nationale supérieure de l'Electronique et de ses Applications and obtained a Master of Engineering (Diplôme d'ingénieur de l'ENSEA) degree in Signal Processing and Communications.
