Abhishek Vakil

Abhishek Vakil has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the media and entertainment industry. Abhishek most recently worked as a Senior Creative Director, Original Content at MX Player, where they were responsible for creating original content in Indian languages and developing a content calendar within given budgets. Prior to MX Player, Abhishek worked at Discovery Communications as an Original Content Development Manager. Abhishek also had a role at Viacom18 Media Private Limited, where they handled the Fiction Vertical of the channel and successfully adapted Kannada shows for the Marathi language. Abhishek's earlier experiences include roles at Multi Screen Media Pvt. Ltd. (Sony Entertainment), Star India, Zee Entertainment Enterprise Ltd., and Shri Adhikari Brothers television network, where they took on various responsibilities related to show production, scriptwriting, and promotional planning. Abhishek also worked as a freelancer, serving as an Associate Director and Editor for films, ad films, and television shows.
