Lee Nelson is currently the Executive Director at SERTC, having joined MxV Rail in 2025. With a robust background in hazmat response and safety, they previously served as a Response Manager at Ram Environmental and a Technical Advisor at Emergency Response Assistance Canada from 2017 to 2022. Lee also held the position of Senior Dangerous Goods Officer at CN from 2006 to 2016, managing the Dangerous Goods Program for the Western Region. They earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on Chemistry, Engineering, and Business from Fort Lewis College between 1995 and 2000. Lee is passionate about contributing to challenging and dynamic work within the hazmat community.
