Scott Cummings

Scott Cummings is the Assistant Vice President of Research and Innovation at MxV Rail, a position held since 2021. With experience as an engineer, scientist, and principal investigator, they have a strong background in railroad testing and research, particularly in wheel performance and train dynamics. Prior to their current role, Scott worked as an Exchange Employee at Norfolk Southern Railroad, gaining insights into Class 1 railroad challenges. They hold a Master’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Colorado State University Pueblo, as well as degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of San Diego and Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University.
