John Damon, Ph.D., serves as a Health Innovation Fellow at The Aspen Institute since July 2019 and has been the Chief Executive Officer of Canopy Children's Solutions since January 2013, where responsibilities include overseeing Mississippi's largest non-profit organization that provides a continuum of behavioral healthcare and social services for children and families. Previously, John Damon held various positions at Mississippi Children's Home Services from August 1993 to December 2012, including Chief Operating Officer and Division Director of Behavioral Health. Academic accomplishments include a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Jackson State University, a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Reformed Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Mississippi College. Additional training includes a residency in Clinical Child Psychology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
