Mycrogrid® is an energy infrastructure company creating a new category of residential power: non-export, grid-optional, parallel energy infrastructure from the home's meter inward.

Rather than simply adding solar or batteries to the traditional utility model, Mycrogrid® integrates generation, energy storage, intelligent controls, and proprietary Mycroguard™ monitoring into an independent energy ecosystem owned and controlled by the homeowner. The result is a home designed to rely first on its own energy infrastructure, with the utility available as backup.

Our architecture is fundamentally different. Mycrogrid® systems are designed around a non-export model, eliminating the need to send excess energy onto the utility grid. Solar generation and battery storage are intelligently coupled and monitored through Mycroguard™, our proprietary technology platform providing ongoing system visibility, management, and control.

The concept behind Mycrogrid® began in 2006 with a simple premise: homes would eventually need an energy infrastructure capable of operating alongside the electric utility rather than remaining entirely dependent upon it. By 2014, that vision had evolved into the Mycrogrid® brand and purpose.
