Michael Østergaard Johansen

Michael Østergaard Johansen has over 30 years of work experience. Their most recent position was as Chief Operating Officer at MyDefence, starting in 2021. Prior to that, they were Engineering Director at RTX A/S from 1998 to 2021, where they worked on strategically merging two separate division R&D departments into one common R&D department. Michael Østergaard was also Director of Engineering at RTX A/S from 1998 to 2021, responsible for the execution of customer projects and RTX product projects. From 1998 to 2021, they were also Chief Operating Officer at RTX A/S, responsible for Project execution, R&D, component sourcing and production in the RTX Design Services business area. From 1991 to 1998, they were Engineering Manager at RTX A/S, managing an engineering team of 30 to 70 people working on hardware and software development for major global customers within the Bluetooth area and subsequently other areas within wireless communication. From 1991 to 1998, they were also Senior Project Manager and Technical Project Manager & RF design Engineer at RTX A/S. Prior to that, they were Project Engineer / Project Manager at Sonofon from 1991 to 1998, working on the development of mobile telephony in Denmark. Their first job after graduating with their Master degree in engineering was as Engineer at TELE Greenland A/S in 1991, where they worked on the establishment of a new digital radio chain connection in West Greenland.

Michael Østergaard Johansen attended Aalborg University from 1986 to 1991, where they earned a M.SC.E.E in Telecommunications.
