Radiation Engineer at Mynaric

Alex Dyer is a seasoned radiation engineer with extensive experience in space systems and radiation environments. Currently serving as a Radiation Engineer at Mynaric, Alex is responsible for Radiation Hardness Assurance (RHA) for low, medium, and geostationary orbit systems while mediating RHA challenges between new and traditional space frameworks. As an Independent Consultant for Dyer Space Ltd, Alex provides expert advice to companies on achieving product objectives related to radiation effects. Previous roles include Radiation & Electronics Engineer at ICEYE, where Alex developed RHA practices, and Research Fellow at Surrey Space Centre, leading research on compact solid-state radiation detectors. Alex holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Surrey, a Master’s Degree in Astrophysics from UCL, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from the University of Exeter.
