Adele Joy Cobbs

Medical Director Patient Centered Medical Home at Myowndoctor

Dr. Cobbs is the Medical Director of Patient Centered Medical Home Services including Care Coordination and Remote Patient Monitoring at Virtual Physician Associates. In her 20-year career, she has served as the Assistant Director of the Emergency Department at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago and as an attending physician at Mount Sinai Hospital, Rush University Medical Center, and other hospitals in Illinois. She is also the co-founder of Bronzeville Healthcare Advocates, a community-based advisory group that advocates for cultural competency and overall wellness for vulnerable communities. In 2011, she was appointed to the Chicago Board of Health by Mayor Richard M. Daley.

Dr. Cobbs received her M.D. from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and completed her emergency medicine residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago.
