Peter Baldwin

Peter Baldwin has a diverse work experience. Peter currently serves as a Board Member at MLCommons since May 2021. Prior to that, they were the Founder Director of Myrtle.ai, a hardware/software co-design company that focuses on optimizing data center workloads to improve services and reduce energy consumption and costs. Peter also held the role of Founder at Myrtle Software Limited, where they authored and supported data center software for major Hollywood movies and developed parallel algorithms and workflows for industrial-scale simulations. In addition, they worked as a Technical Director at The Jim Henson Company.

Peter Baldwin completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics at the University of Warwick from 1991 to 1994. Peter then pursued further education at the University of Cambridge, where they completed their Part III degree in Mathematics from 1994 to 1995. After this, they obtained their PhD in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, with a period of study between 1995 and 1999.
