Sarah Byrd has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Sarah started their career as a Field Archaeologist at the Johnson's Island Experiential Learning Program in March 2010. Sarah then interned at the Dayton Society of Natural History in June 2010. In 2011, they worked as an Intern at the Williamsburg Area Transit Authority, and simultaneously served as a Research and Teaching Assistant at William & Mary. Sarah also worked as a Research Fellow at the William & Mary Center for Geospatial Analysis during this time. In 2013, they became a Field Archaeologist at the William & Mary Center for Archaeological Research. Sarah joined Louis Berger in 2014 as an Archaeologist, where they worked until 2016. Currently, they are employed at mySidewalk, where they have held multiple roles. Sarah started as a Data Analyst in June 2016 and later became a Product Owner in October 2021. As of now, they hold the position of Director of Data.
Sarah Byrd received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Anthropology (archaeology) and History from Case Western Reserve University, where they attended from 2006 to 2010. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Anthropology (historical archaeology) at William & Mary, from 2010 to 2012.
