Sam Blackshear

Sam Blackshear is the Co-Founder and CTO of Mysten Labs. Sam was previously a Principal Engineer at Novi Financial, where they worked on the Move language and Diem platform. Prior to that, they were a Staff Engineer at Facebook, working on the Infer static analyzer.

Blackshear has also done research internships at Microsoft in 2012 and 2011. Sam was a Research Assistant at the University of Colorado from 2010 to 2015.

Sam Blackshear has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Colorado Boulder in the field of programming languages. They also have a BA from Williams College in computer science and philosophy.
