Sam Blackshear

Sam Blackshear is the co-founder and CTO at Mysten Labs since November 2021. Previously, at Meta from October 2015 to November 2021, Sam worked as a Principal Engineer, where Sam created the Move language and worked on the Libra/Diem platform. Before their time at Meta, Sam held various research positions at University of Colorado, Facebook, and Microsoft. Sam holds a PhD in Programming Languages from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BA in Computer Science and Philosophy from Williams College.
