Ria Varshney has a diverse range of experience in both customer-facing roles and engineering. Ria worked as a waitress at Two Shades Cafe from July 2022 to December 2022, where responsibilities included preparing coffee and desserts, managing orders, and addressing customer complaints. Currently, Ria serves as a Student Affiliate at the Royal Aeronautical Society and tutors GCSE and A Level students in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Further Mathematics at MyTutor.co.uk. Ria participated in a virtual work experience with Leonardo in July 2021, focusing on Python scripting for robotics, and has undertaken a Systems Engineering Industrial Placement, leading integration and validation of functionalities and developing an advanced MATLAB tool. Presently, Ria is working as a structural and vibrations engineer with PROVE Pathfinder on a CubeSat project, utilizing ABAQUS, Excel, and MATLAB for analysis and data collection. Ria is pursuing a Master of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Bristol, expected to graduate in 2026.
