Thomas Carlsen has had a varied and extensive career. In 2010, they began their professional experience as a Consultant at Insper Jr. Consulting. One year later, they became a Finance Consulting Intern at Accenture. In 2012, they worked as a Trainee at Odebrecht Agroindustrial, and also as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, where they studied the structural needs of the web and app platforms of a major Brazilian bank, structured the biggest higher-education sector merger in the world, created a study for the Brazilian government on the best ways to fund and develop infrastructure, and developed a study on the synergies of a merger of two large pharmaceutical companies. In 2014, they became the CMO at Cuponation. In 2016, they worked as a Summer Associate at monashees+. In 2017, they were the CMO at Cobli. Finally, in 2018, they became the COO & Founder at mywork.

Thomas Carlsen's education history includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School (2015-2017), a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa (2008-2011) and KU Leuven (2010-2011), and a Gestão com Habilitação Profissional Técnica de Nível Médio em Comércio Exterior from Colégio Visconde de Porto Seguro Unidade III (2005-2007).
