Albert Montón is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in site reliability engineering (SRE) and platform engineering. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering at N26 since January 2019, Albert has successfully transformed traditional operations teams into product-focused groups, enhancing runtime efficiency and development productivity. Previous roles at N26 include Engineering Manager and SRE Lead, where Albert implemented self-service platforms for developers and established SRE standards to improve observability and reliability. Prior to N26, Albert worked at PlayStation as Team Lead for SRE and Senior Service Reliability Engineer, where Albert designed an auto-remediation service that significantly reduced mean time to recovery (MTTR). Albert's earlier experience includes engineering positions at Nokia, Spil Games, and Affinity-Petcare. Albert holds a degree in Computer Science from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a minor in Entrepreneurship from NHL Hogeschool.
