Andrei Albu

Andrei Albu is an experienced data engineering leader currently serving as Head of Data Engineering at N26 since January 2016, where Andrei built and manages teams of over 20 engineers across various domains such as Data Warehousing, Machine Learning, and Database Engineering. In previous roles at N26, Andrei contributed as Data Warehousing Lead and Data Engineer, focusing on hiring, mentoring, and developing data infrastructure and security compliance. Prior to N26, Andrei held positions as a Scientific Researcher at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, a System Analyst at Alfa-Bank, and a Working Student at Vinella, gaining valuable skills in data analysis and software development. Andrei holds a PhD in Computational and Applied Mathematics from MIPT, complemented by Master's and Bachelor's degrees in the same field from the same institution.
