Mathieu Girard serves as the Head of Asset Liability Management at N26, overseeing a substantial treasury portfolio exceeding €10 billion, focusing on optimizing Return on Equity and Return on Asset Capital through strategic cash and investment management, as well as process efficiency and automation. Prior roles include Head of Investment Management and Senior Credit Risk Portfolio Manager at N26. At Assenagon Asset Management, Mathieu held the position of Senior Vice President, managing funds with a focus on subordinated financial debt, while developing trading strategies and conducting thorough market analysis. Additionally, Mathieu has experience at PIMCO as Vice President and Team Lead, managing fixed income funds, and has a foundational background with earlier roles at Allianz and Ministère des Relations internationales. Mathieu holds an M.Sc. in Sustainable Resource Management from Technical University of Munich and a B.A. in Economics & Politics from Université Laval.
