Tim Gately is an Executive in Residence for N2Growth. He is an experienced leader with a proven track record in public administration leadership, operations management, and personnel development. A veteran public safety command officer, he serves as a captain for a municipal police department, where he has over 20 years of experience leading operations, administration, and investigations.

He founded Timothy J Enterprises LLC, a consulting firm specializing in strategy development, positive culture-building, mission clarification, and organizational transformation. He is a firm believer in the power of a positive environment to create open communication channels, build connections, and drive high esteem.

Tim has led successful initiatives to align performance appraisals, implement community-based court diversion models, and revise organizational policies and procedures. He has also partnered with stakeholders to revise state laws, leading to an increase in grant funding and extended renewal periods for regional task forces. His experience includes non-profit board membership and leadership.

Tim is passionate about developing executives and managers for senior leadership opportunities. He has a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington, a Master of Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership from the University of San Diego, and a B.S. in Communications from the City University of Seattle. He holds graduate certificates from the FBI National Academy at the University of Virginia, the Center for Creative Leadership in Colorado Springs (CO), and the Executive Leadership Institute at Drucker School of Management in Claremont (CA).

He resides in the Seattle, Washington, area with his wife and children and enjoys cheering for the Washington Huskies. As an active volunteer in his community, Tim supports organizations that encourage youth leadership, Special Olympics athletes, and fine arts/music.
