Nelson Brown

Nelson Brown is a dedicated professional with diverse experience across various sectors. Currently serving as an Auditor at the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation since January 2024, Nelson is responsible for auditing taxpayer applications for homeowners and renter's tax credits. In addition, Nelson holds the position of Economic Development Representative at the NAACP, focusing on economic empowerment initiatives for African-Americans and communities of color. Previous roles include Administrative Specialist II at the Carroll County Health Department, Radio Show Host at Awesome God Radio, and Caseworker for U.S. Senator Ben Cardin, among others. Nelson has a strong educational background with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and a Social Dimensions of Health Certificate from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
