Valentin Vanherpen

Valentin Vanherpen is an experienced Instrumentation and Control Engineer with a strong background in safety I&C design and management. Currently at NAAREA since January 2023, Valentin previously served as the Safety I&C design section head at Framatome from December 2017 to December 2022, where management of an 8-engineer team focused on hardware design for computerized and non-computerized platforms. Valentin also held the role of Safety I&C hardware design engineer at Framatome, leading hardware design activities and coordinating between French and German teams. Earlier experience includes working as an Electrical and I&C methods engineer at AREVA NP, where responsibilities included managing subcontractors and ensuring timely completion of electrical and control systems. Valentin's career began with an engineering apprenticeship focused on functional design of safety I&C systems and a position as a qualification technician at ATEME. Valentin holds an engineering degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers and a DUT in Mesures Physiques from IUT d'Orsay.
