John Nathenson

Executive Vice President, Client Services - Select at NAILBITER

John Nathenson has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. John started their career as a Senior Account Executive at Promotional Innovations in 1992 before moving on to become the Director of Sales at Muzak In Store Marketing Group in 1995. In 1998, they joined Spectra Marketing as a Senior Vice President, where they spearheaded new business development and client services. During their tenure, they exceeded plan by 12% and led the development of tools and platforms to transform the business model.

In 2007, John joined The Nielsen Company as the VP of Business Development, where they established the Client Business Partner role in the healthcare space. John built a team focused on delivering financial wins and maintaining strategic account management and relationships.

In 2008, they became the Senior Vice President at AES Marketing, Inc., a full-service direct marketing agency focused on the automotive retail space. John specialized in segmenting, targeting, and executing against automotive dealer objectives.

From 2008 to 2011, John worked at Affinnova in various roles, including VP of Client Services, Senior Vice President of Client Services Select, and Global Senior Vice President of Client Services - Select. John led the Select team in delivering optimization services and other custom market research tools to CPG firms, retailers, and new verticals.

At Slice Intelligence, John served as the Senior Vice President Analytic Solutions from 2016 to 2018. John grew and led the company's Client Facing Team, which answered complex questions using behavioral-based panel data on e-commerce.

In 2018, they joined Edison Software as the SVP of Strategic Data Solutions, where they transformed email receipt data into a normalized and digestible consumer transaction dataset.

Most recently, John returned to NAILBITER in December 2021 as the Executive Vice President of Client Services - Select. NAILBITER is a pioneer in global quantitative videometrics and provides actionable insights to satisfy the research needs of consumer and shopper insights professionals.

Throughout their career, John has demonstrated a track record of driving growth, building teams, and delivering customer-focused solutions.

John Nathenson completed their education at different points in time. From 1985 to 1989, they attended Muhlenberg College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Relations. Later, they pursued further education at Baruch College from 1997 to 1999, obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Strategic International Business Management. In addition to their formal education, they also received a certification in Programmatic Advertising Foundations from LinkedIn in February 2018.
