S Ryu has garnered extensive experience in the maritime engineering field, particularly in LNG carriers, with current tenure as LNGC 2E(1AE) at Nakilat-Shell since March 2021, focusing on Q-Max and Q-Flex LNG carriers with MAN ME twin engines. Previous roles include 1AE(2E) for an LNGC XDF motor at SK SHIPPING CO, LTD, and 1AE(2E) for an LNGC with a 6.0 MPaG STM turbine at Mitsui OSK Lines Ltd. Earlier positions at H-line Shipping and Hanjin Shipping involved roles as 1AE, GE, 2AE, and 3AE on similar LNG carriers with advanced propulsion systems.
