Christopher Whelan

They are a cannabis entrepreneur and founder of nama, a role they have held since 2020. They are also a co-founder of CJ Business Ventures, an early-stage NY cannabis startup, a position they have held since 2022. They earned a Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Brooklyn Law School in 2018 and have completed multiple legal internships and judicial internships, including roles with the U.S. District Courts, the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, the U.S. Postal Service, and the Internal Revenue Service. They previously worked as a Summer Associate at Hughes Hubbard & Reed LLP in 2017 and were a Research Assistant to Professor Rebecca Kysar at Brooklyn Law School in 2017.
