Amber Eppard

Amber Eppard has held multiple positions across a variety of organizations. From 2006 to 2013, they served as a Medical Office Associate II at Carilion Clinic, where they were responsible for tasks such as scheduling appointments and collecting copays. Amber then transitioned to the UVA Health System, working as both a Pre-Certification Coordinator and a Medication Authorization & Procurement Coordinator from 2014 to 2020. During this time, they obtained authorizations for medications, coordinated with specialty pharmacies, and enrolled patients in copay assistance programs. In 2018, Eppard began working as a Public Speaker, and in 2019, they served as an Educational Speaker at AstraZeneca. More recently, they have taken on the role of Co-Founder/Secretary at the National Association of Medication Access & Patient Advocacy, and they are currently employed as a Field Reimbursement Senior Manager at Sobi - North America.

Amber Eppard holds a Master of Education (MEd) degree from the University of Virginia, where they studied Adapted Physical Education/Applied Behavior Analysis. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Ferrum College in Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences, General. Additionally, in February 2020, they completed the Dare to Lead Trained certification program offered by Dare to Lead™ Trained.
