Floris Fleermuys

Floris Fleermuys is an experienced economist currently serving as the General Manager of Research, Policy and Statistics at NAMFISA since May 2017. Prior to this role, Floris held positions at the Agricultural Bank of Namibia as Manager of Research and Product Development from December 2014 to April 2017, and at the Bank of Namibia in various capacities, including Senior Economist for Financial Stability, Economist for Macro Modelling and Forecasting, and Research Officer from February 2005 to November 2014. Additionally, Floris gained international experience as a Desk Country Economist for Mauritius and Botswana at the International Monetary Fund from February 2013 to January 2014. Floris holds a Master's degree in Economics from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, obtained between 2008 and 2010.
