Summer Parrish has extensive experience in nonprofit development and leadership, having served as National Director of Development for NAMI from January 2022 to September 2023, where fundraising efforts generated $15M annually through various strategies. Previously, as Interim President and CEO of NAMI Northern Virginia, Summer collaborated with the Board on strategic planning and organizational development. Summer also strengthened major gifts programs at the Alzheimer's Association® and directed development at The Reading Connection - Metro DC, focusing on strategic growth and donor stewardship. Additionally, Summer managed communications and fundraising for Lutheran Social Services of the National Capital Area, guiding a significant centennial campaign. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Literature and Language from Marymount University and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of South Carolina.
