Richard Branson

Peter has over 40 years of experience in the invention, development, and commercialization of various life-science innovations and holds 42 issued patents in technology with numerous applications pending. His inventions include: instrumentation and chemical methods for automated peptide and DNA synthesis, High-Density DNA arrays for human diagnostics, Instrumentation systems and consumables for High throughput and highly miniaturized cellular/biochemical drug screening factories, and patented cyclo-olefin polymer-based microplate technology. Peter has held senior scientist and management positions at Millipore, Beckman Coulter, Aurora Biosciences, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Nexus, Biosearch Technologies and ThermaGenix. Mr. Coassin is Co-owner of Aurora Microplates, a manufacturer of optical microplates. He graduated from Tufts University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and Biology.
