Winfried Ness is currently the Director of Intellectual Property at Nanoform, a position held since 2024. Previously, Winfried served as the Head of Department Patent Management at HELM AG from 2018 to 2024, and Global Head of Patents and Trademarks at Grünenthal Group from 2016 to 2018. Winfried also held the role of Head IP EU at Teva Europe between 2012 and 2016, and was the Director of Patents at Mepha GmbH from 2011 to 2012. With extensive experience in patent affairs extending over two decades, Winfried began their career as Teamleader Global Patent Affairs at ratiopharm, working from 2000 to 2011. Winfried earned a Promotion in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from The Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg between 1992 and 1995.
