Sam Hessenauer

Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Nanome

Sam Hessenauer has held a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2009. In 2015, they co-founded Nanome Inc. as the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Co-Founder, and Co-Founder and Chief Engineer. Sam also founded the Virtual Reality Club at UCSD that same year, serving as President and Founder. In 2016, they joined GE Digital as a Technlogy Partnerships and Investment Analyst, Digital Technology / Software Development Leadership Program, Program Manager for PaaS Operations, and Program Manager | Mergers and Acquisitions. Sam also worked as an Independent Software Engineering Contractor. In 2019, they took on the role of Full Stack Software Engineer.

Sam Hessenauer has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from UC San Diego, which they obtained between 2013 and 2016. In 2015, they participated in UC CAI, CA BRAID, NSF I-CORPS, and the Entrepreneurship Center at UCSF. Prior to that, they attended Sierra College from 2010 to 2013. Sam also attended Clayton Valley Charter High School. Additionally, they hold a Cal-OSHA Forklift Operator Certification and a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
