Hani Taan

Hani Taan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Hani is currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer & Co-Founder of Nanotech, Inc. since December 2020.

Prior to that, they worked at National Oilwell Varco and held various positions. From January 2017 to December 2020, they served as the Director of Business Development - Marine Offshore, where they played a key role in implementing strategic plans and reducing costs through the introduction of innovative composite materials in multimillion dollar projects. Hani also led business development efforts and fostered relationships with global clients.

From July 2015 to December 2016, Hani served as the VP Strategic Accounts, Floating Production Systems at National Oilwell Varco. Here, they directed an initiative to implement new offerings with major global clients in the market.

From June 2014 to July 2015, they served as the Corporate Operations Director Brazil, where they led country expansion efforts and served as a focal point for Petrobras, government, and other international oil companies.

From June 2008 to June 2014, Hani served as the Corporate Business Development Manager at National Oilwell Varco. In this role, they led business development, sales, and tendering coordination and reported to corporate on country growth demands.

Before joining National Oilwell Varco, Hani worked as an Independent Consultant from August 2005 to June 2008. Hani'sresponsibilities included improving client commercial relationships, implementing strategic planning, and business development.

Hani also has experience working as the General Manager Brazil at Frontline Safety from August 2004 to August 2005, where they implemented and consolidated the company in Brazil and increased market share and revenue.

Hani's earlier work experience includes working as the Contract and Quality Manager at Sparrows Group from August 2002 to July 2004, where they increased sales and implemented a training program for local labor resulting in cost reduction. Hani also worked as a Field Engineer at Schlumberger from May 2000 to July 2002, managing client relationships and operating logging tools.

Hani Taan's education history starts with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, which they completed in the years from 1996 to 2000. Hani then pursued a Master's degree in International Business Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas, which they obtained between 2004 and 2006. In 2011, Hani attended Purdue University for continued education in Sales & Strategy. In 2019, they acquired a certification in Fundamentals of Data Science from Stanford University. Additionally, in the same year, Hani also received a Business Analytics Certification from The Wharton School, focusing on Business Analytics.
