Lena Dablouk is a Core Surgical Trainee (ST1) currently working as a Senior House Officer at Cork University Hospital, where they focus on surgery, research, and global health. Lena has previously served as a Student Researcher at the UCC Assert Centre, and held various leadership roles within the University College Cork, including Chairperson of the Arabic Society and Co-Editor in Chief of the Student Medical Journal. Their clinical experience includes elective placements in cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, and plastic surgery, as well as a focus on pediatric neurosurgery. Lena is also engaged with the National Association of Neurosurgical Trainees as a Regional Lead for University College Cork. They are pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at University College Cork, complemented by a Master's in Surgical Science.
