Matthew Painter

Matthew Painter is a Motion Capture Lead currently specializing in onset motion capture and live camera tracking for virtual production at NantStudios. With a Bachelor's degree in Animation from the University of Technology Sydney, they have previously worked as a Motion Capture Body Technician at Wētā FX and instructed at UNSW on motion capture techniques. Their diverse experience includes roles in various stages of motion capture and visual effects, as well as earlier work as a private instructor and part-time academic. Matthew's passion for VFX and technical innovation continues to drive their work in the industry.
