Mike Barker

Mike Barker has worked in various roles in the software engineering industry since 2012. In 2012, they began their career as a Front End Developer at Kwiksurveys. After two years, they moved to Other Media as a Front End Developer, where they worked with clients such as Chelsea FC, Arsenal FC, ECB Cricket, and City Lit. In 2015, they joined Yoyo as a full stack developer, and in 2017 they became a Senior JavaScript Developer at Tictrac. In 2018, they took on the role of Senior Software Engineer at eporta, and in 2021 they became Engineering Manager and Lead Web Engineer at Napo Pet Insurance. As Lead Web Engineer, they built the first version of the web platform from the ground up, and implemented continuous delivery, end-to-end testing, and excellent monitoring.

Mike Barker attended Filton College from 2006 to 2008, where they earned a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Software Development. Mike then attended Kingston University from 2008 to 2011, where they earned a degree in Computer Science.
