NappiCycle is the UK’s first and only facility dedicated to the large-scale recycling of post-consumer nappies and absorbent hygiene products (AHPs). We transform what was once considered an unrecyclable waste stream into high-performance fibre pellets used in Stone Mastic Asphalt (SMA) for road construction across the UK.

Every tonne of our recycled fibre replaces imported virgin materials, reducing landfill volumes, cutting carbon emissions, and keeping value within the UK economy. Our process closes the loop on a major waste challenge, delivering measurable environmental, social and economic benefits.

Founded and based South Wales, NappiCycle works in partnership with Local Authorities, highways contractors, and the Welsh Government, demonstrating how circular economy principles can be commercially viable, technically robust, and socially impactful.

Our operation is supported by Natural Engineering Ltd, who design, build, and maintain the bespoke machinery that underpins our process. Together, we’re creating high-skilled, sustainable employment and advancing the UK’s capability in environmental engineering and materials innovation.

NappiCycle’s proven technology has already diverted millions of nappies from landfill and incineration, contributing to cleaner communities, lower waste disposal costs, and a stronger, greener infrastructure network.
