Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Abdeen is currently the Head of Geological Applications and Mineral Resources Division and a Professor of Structural Geology and Remote Sensing at the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, where they have served since 2014. With over 20 years at this organization and 23 years at the Egyptian Geological Survey prior, they have a wealth of experience in the field. Abdeen holds a PhD in Geology from Heidelberg University, obtained in 1995, and has supervised 27 MSc. and PhD. theses while authoring over 50 papers in international peer-reviewed journals. Additionally, they have been a visiting professor at multiple universities and have contributed as an associate editor for several scientific journals.
