Brandon Thomas

Vice President, Vehicle Design at NASCAR

Brandon Thomas has over 20 years of experience in the racing industry. Brandon currently serves as the Vice President of Vehicle Design at NASCAR. Prior to that, they worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Stolen Mojo LLC. From 2012 to 2018, they were with Richard Childress Racing, leading the Vehicle Development Group in various projects to improve vehicle performance. Brandon also worked as a Race Engineer at Dragon Racing in 2012. Before that, Brandon was the Chief Design and Development Engineer at Red Bull Racing from 2008 to 2011. Brandon has also held roles as Crew Chief at Hall of Fame Racing, and worked on research, development, and engineering at Joe Gibbs Racing and Penske Racing South. Their career started as an Assistant Race Engineer at All American Racers in 1998.

Brandon Thomas attended Virginia Tech from 1992 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
