Managing Director - Direct To Consumer Strategy at NASCAR

Daniel Barker has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Daniel is currently the Managing Director - Direct to Consumer Strategy at NASCAR since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the Senior Director Media Strategy at NASCAR from May 2019 to March 2022.

Before joining NASCAR, Daniel worked at DAZN Group as the Head DAZN + / VP Publishing from November 2016 to May 2019. In this role, they led relationships with internal and external publishing partners, managed content teams, and launched multiple international properties.

Daniel also served as a Senior Product Manager - Portals at Perform from May 2015 to November 2016 and as a Senior Project Manager at Omnigon Communications LLC from May 2014 to January 2015. At Omnigon Communications, they managed development projects for clients like the USGA, NASCAR, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Prior to that, Daniel worked at Sporting News, where they held multiple roles including Executive Director of Product and Partnerships from April 2013 to May 2014 and Senior Project Manager (Online) from April 2008 to April 2013. Daniel contributed to partnership initiatives and guided the transition of the publisher into a viable digital business.

Daniel started their career as a QA Analyst/Implementation Consultant at Pokertek, where they tested poker software and served as a project lead and implementation specialist for onsite customers. Daniel also worked as an English Teacher at Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools from August 2004 to April 2006.

Daniel Barker received a Master of Arts degree in English with a specialization in Victorian Literature from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Daniel completed their studies from 1998 to 2004.
