Ryan Stanton

Amr/nascar Safety Team Physician- Medical Director at NASCAR

Ryan Stanton has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Ryan is currently the Chief Medical Contributor at FOX 56 Lexington, a role they have held since January 2022. Ryan is also involved with the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP), where they serve as a member of the Board of Directors and the PR Committee. From 2014 to 2016, they were the Chairman of the Public Relations Committee at ACEP. Additionally, Ryan is the CEO of Everyday Medicine LLC, which they founded in 2012. Ryan hosted the StantonMD Show from 2016 to 2017. Ryan also holds the position of AMR/NASCAR Safety Team Physician-Medical Director at NASCAR since July 2017. Ryan has also worked as an ER Physician at Baptist Health Lexington since November 2013 and served as the Medical Director at Lexington Fire/EMS starting from March 2013. Ryan has been a Medical Expert/Contributor at WKYT-TV from December 2017 to December 2021. In the past, Ryan was involved with WTVQ, where they hosted shows titled "Doctor On-Call" and "Ask the Doc" from December 2008 to December 2017. Before that, they worked at MESA Medical Group as a Medical Director, ER Physician, and Director of PR, Media, and Education. Ryan has also worked as a Producer for Everyday Medicine, a podcast-style broadcast on health topics.

Ryan Stanton attended East Tennessee State University from 1995 to 1999, where they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry/History. Ryan continued their education at East Tennessee State University James H. Quillen College of Medicine from 1999 to 2003, obtaining their MD in Medicine.
