Michael O'Brien

Michael O'Brien is the Vice President of Product Management for Global Risk & Surveillance at Nasdaq, where they have played a pivotal role in the development of SMARTS Trade Surveillance since its inception in 2003. With a background that includes heading the Investigations team at the Australian Stock Exchange, Michael has built expertise through various compliance roles in the brokerage sector. Prior to their current position, they served as Head of Product Management for SMARTS and Head of Global Sales for SMARTS Broker. Michael holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Accounting from the University of New South Wales.
